3-D Ultrasound for Advanced GYN Diagnostics
3-D Ultrasound lets us use advanced imaging technology to evaluate the condition of your uterus, ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes and endometrium and determine the cause of pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding and other menstrual problems. By providing clear, detailed images, these tests are particularly helpful in:
| • |
|
Detecting ovarian cysts and fibroids |
| • |
|
Finding ovarian or uterine cancer |
| • |
|
Monitoring fetal development |
Why suffer in silence when a 3-D GYN Ultrasound can help us diagnose and treat your problem?
See the Difference a 3-D Ultrasound Can Make
Imaging tests are only as good as the pictures they produce. Take, for example, a 38-year-old patient bothered by spotting between periods and heavy menstrual flow. She had consulted a physician at another practice, who preformed a 2-D Ultrasound on her uterus. Based on the images below, this physician read her Ultrasound as “normal.”
The 2-D image did not detect a mass.
The patient then consulted the Rubino OB/GYN Group, where she underwent a 3-D ultrasound, performed while a small amount of saline solution was infused into her uterine cavity. That more advanced test identified a large mass shown below. The 3-D ultrasound also captured three dimensions of the mass, allowing her physician to better assess the problem.

The physician performed an in-office operative hysteroscopy to remove the mass, resolving the patient’s bleeding problems and improving her lifestyle.
Better images. Better outcomes. That’s the beauty of 3-D Ultrasound.
