Stop Heavy Periods with
Her Option®
Cryoablation Therapy
Do you suffer from heavy or painful periods that disrupt your life and keep you from being the mother, partner and professional you’d like to be? If so, you’re not alone. Menstrual problems cast a cloud over many women’s lives. But we offer Her Option® Cryoablation Therapy and other procedures that can solve menstrual problems.
The Rubino Group has helped thousands of women stop heavy menstrual bleeding. We’ll listen to your concerns and symptoms, identify the cause of your problem and find the solution that’s right for you, whether that involves lifestyle changes, medications or hormone therapy.
A slender probe is placed in the uterus through the cervix and is cooled until it reaches subzero temperatures.
Treatment options include the 15-minute “Her Option” in-office Cryoablation Therapy. This simple procedure involves freezing the lining of the uterus to stop or reduce menstrual flow, without anesthesia, surgery or hormones. Many women return to their normal activities the next day. It’s an extremely safe alternative to hysterectomy to end heavy bleeding.
Her Option General Information
Her Option is a procedure to treat "menorrhagia" (men-or-ra-jah), a medical term for menstrual periods that are too heavy, too frequent, or last too long. Her Option is designed for office use and women's comfort in mind. The procedure typically takes 20 to 30 minutes and uses cryoablation (cold temperatures). Cold has a natural analgesic affect, reducing pain associated with the procedure. Her Option is a natural choice for women with heavy periods who are looking for an alternative to a hysterectomy, maintaining your natural hormones.
During the treatment, your doctor will monitor the progress of the treatment using an abdominal ultrasound. A slender probe will be gently inserted through your vagina into your uterus and is cooled until it reaches sub-zero temperatures. Typically, multiple ice zones are formed.
